Abhinansu Borthakur claims pdouble crown

Satyajit Chakraborty : Kolkata, 3rd December Saturday, Abhinansu Borthakur claims double crown at the just concluded 56th Saturday Club Floodlit Tennis Tournament 2022, held at the red clay courts of the prestigious Saturday Club Ltd.

Borthakur, having already bagged the Men’s Open Doubles title the previous day partnering Md Fardeen, did not have to sweat much to drub 2nd seeded Ritabrata Sarkar in the finals of the Men’s Open Singles as the former proved to be too good for the younger Sarkar. Borthakur, seeded 1 in the draw, emerged as the winner by a straight 6-2,6-2.
