The main motto of the association is to revive and resume the shrinking services of trams in Kolkata. Tram is a very pollution free and environment friendly means of transport. So, CTUA is fighting for the revival and extension of trams in Kolkata.

Mr Roberto, an Australian citizen has joined hands with CTUA to spread the cause of trams. He is organizing Tramjatra from 1996. This year too he is going to organize Tramjatra 2019 from 1st to 5th October.
