District level Neighborhood youth parliament*
Satyajit Chakraborty : Howrah, Nehru Yuva Kendra Howrah under Ministry of Youth Affairs And Sports organised District level Neighborhood youth parliament at Sarat sadan on Monday, 7th March 2022. The program chief guest was Vice principal of Ramkrishna Mission Vidhyamandir, Belur Math, Swami Mahaprajnananda, Retd Economics HOD from South Calcutta City College Mr. Kamlendu Mukherjee, Renowned Journalist of Nav Bharat Times Mr. Lokenath Tiwary, Business of L.I.C Mr. Khurshid Akram and District Youth officer of Nehru Yuva Kendra Howrah, Miss.Arunima.
The program begun with flower garlanding to Swami Vivekanandaji and then inauguration of program was done by lightening of lamp by Swami Mahaprajnananda. District Youth officer, Miss. Arunima gave the introductory speech about the Neighborhood youth parliament where youth is provided institutional platform where they can articulate their views on various
issues and draw the attention of the local administration to such issues/ concerns
affecting their lives.
Swami Mahaprajnanandan gave an motivation speech to the youth by recalling about eloquent speech of Swami Vivekananda at the Chicago Convention of Parliament of Religions. The program was attended by around 1000 youth club members from different blocks of Howrah and 23 youth participated and deliver their views infront of the dignatories. Mr.Kamlendu Mukherjee shared the success mantras to the youth and how to enhance and instill leadership qualities in the them.
The program was ended by distribution of Sports Material by Swami Mahaprajnananda to the youth clubs of Howrah who were present there and promoted the sports among the youth.
